According to “Survey of Reaction to Abortion,” The Post Abortion Review,
A survey of post-abortive women found that:
- 28% attempted suicide
- 31% experienced suicidal feelings
- 60% commented that the decision to abort made their lives worse
- 94% regretted the decision to abort

You can read more of the complications that occur with women after having an abortion on this page at Our Catholic Faith.
The law of the land in this country allows women to abort their children. For that matter, the decision to abort one’s own child is a matter of choice, de facto, upheld by laws which are ultimately upheld by our nation’s Supreme Court. Since the Roe vs. Wade decision in 1973, 54,559,615 children have died, because their own mothers decided at the time that was an appropriate choice.
Here is something women considering an abortion need to ponder seriously before making that choice: the vast majority of women who had an abortion regretted it. Why?
I can’t speak for all of them, but any reasonable person would agree that knowing that you decided to end the life of your own child is a difficult choice to live with for the rest of your life. This video speaks brilliantly to that effect. Please, watch it.
Recently, I posted another video in my article, You’ll Never Regret Choosing Life. This video beautifully illustrates the positive side to the story. If you haven’t already seen that video, I encourage you to take a couple of minutes to watch it now, and then ask yourself, which story would you rather choose?
